What I learned from an oil crisis

One of the main things that I learned from the oil crisis was that a lot of people depend on oil. Most of the people use their car for transportation and if there is no oil available then the people are not going to be able to use their cars. Some of the personal things that I and my community had to do due to this oil crisis was use our car less than what we normally use. We also had to eat and cook foods that don’t use oil or that use a little of oil in order to save the more oil than we can. Our government had to close most of the biggest companies because they used too much oil and we had to save that oil. One of the things that I could do more in an oil crisis is recycle more to not cause more pollution to this world. I can also donate things like cloth or some utilities that others might need that I don’t use no more. I wouldn’t like to back to the days were we had to use the less oil than we needed because we had it to limit ourselves on what transportation to use and what kinds of foods to eat.

My Family Member Resting Underwater

The oil spill really affected me in my life for the reason that I lost my only son in this incident. Mu son was like my life because now I have lost everything that I loved in this world. I lost my wife and now my son who I don’t know were his body is located at. All I know is down in the water all mixed with oil. I don’t have the opportunity to go to the cemetery and take him his flowers and pray for him. I have to go to the ocean and think that he is resting under water and not resting in peace. This could also affect many other families that lost their loved ones in this accident because this people like me are going to suffer the death of their loved one and the reason that they don’t know were is the body of their loved one. This oil spill could affect all the entire world in the way that many people are not going to be able to be fishing, their water is going to be contaminated. This could affect us ion what we eat because all the seafood that we eat like shrimp and fish are going to be contaminated and death. Many of us the people might loose our jobs and as well as me people are going to feel lonely and depressed and they are going to use alcoholism.

How increasing the prices AFFECT the Community

Oil shortage is affecting a lot of people around in my community. The tortas restaurant across my street has closed because they don't have any oil to be selling their food. Less people had consumed from their food because the prices of the tortas went too high. The tortas used to cost $4.00 and now they cost the double which is $8.00. The gas station around the corner of my house also closed because less people were using gas for their cars because now most of the people walk more or use their bikes, scooters, and their skateboards. Some of the things that I have to do to become self sustainable is not going out too much when I don’t need to not waste oil. I am also eating more foods that don’t need oil for example salads, more vegetables, beans and more to save the most oil that I can. Some of the things that I have been doing to get from one place to another are by walking, using my bike, scooter or sometimes the bus which is also more expensive. The role that elasticity because many of the people around the area that I live in are saying that now to eat a torta is like wasting an hour that you work in the week. Many of the people are no longer buying tortas because they are too expensive and they can’t afford to buy for all their families.

Shortage on Food

I am really surprise in the way that we can be cut on food because we can no longer have transportation for this crops to come to us. I think that the foods that will disappear the first will be the vegetables and fruits because their is not going to be transportation for this crop to come to our community. I think that this things will become the most expensive ones in the store because many people are going to want to eat this products and their are going to be a few fruits and vegetables for the people to buy. I am concerned in the way that what would we the people do if many of our foods are short and that many people are not going to be able to eat this products.
I think that many of the people are going to be looking to buy their meats and many of them are not going to be able to get them because this products are going to be really expensive or their are not going to be anymore.

Iceland's Eyjafjallajoekull Volcano Effects

Canceling the airline flights and the gas out stages would be a loss of money because people are no longer going to be able to use this resources.
Many people use gas to put in their cars and many people use the airlines to fly for a vacation.

I think that we shouldn't give up our goods because if we do we are going to lose many of the foods that we like to eat. I think that is not a good
idea for us to give up on gasoline because if we do we are going to lose many of our transportation and is going to be harder for us to transfers from one place to another. Some of the alternatives that we are going to have are that we are going to eat what is available for us in our community and we are going to need to walk were ever we want to go. I think that we really need to keep having the goods and services that we have now.

I do worried about losing the food that we have now because what will happen to all of the people that depend on this foods. Many of the people are going to stay without eating and the economy is going to be more worse because people are not buying any food. I also think that if the services water and power are taken away is going to affect all of the people in this community because we all need water and power. we need water to shower, drink and we need power to see t.v, and use many of electronics that we have.

I like to save the most resources that I have so in case of an emergency I know I have things that I can use like food and water. We are planning to have waters so we would not suffer on not having water and food that can be helpful to us.

Supply and Demand

Supply means how much of a service or supply to sell and at what price to sell it.

Demand means when people have the willing and ability to buy something.

Something that was surprising to me when I tooked the quiz was that oil is use in many of the things that we use everyday. Another surprising thing that I didn't knew was that the U.S was one of the richest country with oil in the year of 2005.

Uses of Oil

Today I realized that everyday we use oil. Their isn't a day were we don't use oil. The cloth that we wash, the food that we eat and when we use our cars all that uses oil. We now depend too much on oil because without oil we cannot do many things.
